OUR STORY

It all began in March of 1998, when Kim and her soon-to-be husband, John, purchased The Ole Mill Country Store in Mount Orab, Ohio, from Kim’s mom, Sue Kiley.

The Ole Mill wasn’t just any little country store. Once a working feed mill, this one-of-a-kind building sits over—and stretches across—a creek full of local history and small-town charm. That September, Kim and John got married, beginning a beautiful partnership in both life and business.

In those early days, The Ole Mill was filled with country home décor and treasures people loved: decorative concrete geese dressed for every season, primitive finds, curtains, wallpaper borders, collectible Boyd’s Bears, Crocs shoes, Vera Bradley bags, and so much more. Every season brought a new reason to stop in, and springtime meant one thing—garden season at The Ole Mill! Flowers, trees, and unique finds were everywhere.

As the years passed, the store continued to grow and evolve. Then, in 2019, just before COVID, Kim knew it was time for a change too. The burnout was real, and it was time to either find a new job—or breathe brand-new life into the store she loved.

One trip to market changed everything.

While sitting in an airport that year, Kim created a new logo and a new name: Vintage Meets Boho at The Ole Mill.

The country décor began to make room for something bolder, brighter, and more free-spirited. In came a unique mix of boho, hippie, western, vintage-inspired style, and a whole lot of personality. Flowing clothing, statement jewelry, metal art that pops, gifts, décor, and finds that are anything but ordinary.

Today, Vintage Meets Boho is a place for the different, the eclectic, the colorful, and the beautifully unexpected. We believe shopping should feel like an experience—full of inspiration, laughter, treasures, and a little bit of magic.

Kim has always said, “We hope you leave happier than when you walked in.”

And around here, there are no strangers—only friends we haven’t met yet.

We can’t wait to welcome you in.

A little throwback.

Back when we were still The Ole Mill — garden season, family working side by side, and a whole different look than you see today. A lot has changed over the years, but we love looking back at the chapters that got us here.
